This year we were very happy to announce that The Grove Trust has given away over £2,000,000 to local charities since we started 12 years ago. Many thanks to all our members who have made this possible ! For 2021 we decided to focus on Post Pandemic Support for Youth which is so relevant as the inequalities among the borough’s young people are staggering. We decided to make some donations before the summer to help with programs being run by the Harrow Club, Solidarity Sports and Kensington Aldridge Academy. After our members Presentation evening and voting the following charities will receive a grant for 2021: Youth Action Alliance https://www.youthactionalliance.org will received £15,000 for 2 years for a total grant of £30,000. This funding will go to YAA’s core costs. Kensington Dragons https://kensingtondragons.com will receive £20,000 for 2 years for a total grant of £40,000 which will go towards the salary for a much-need Operations Officer. SOS+ https://www.stgilestrust.org.uk will receive £25,000 for 3 years for 3 years for a total grant of £75,000 which will go towards bringing the SOS+ embedding program to our local area. Avondale Extra will receive £4,500 for one year to go towards their core costs. |
