Grove Trust Grants |
2011
For 2011, The Grove Trust awarded grants to three local charities that were selected for their outstanding work with Older People in our community. We are very pleased to announce that for 2011 The Grove Trust Grants were awarded to: Age UK Dedicated to helping the more frail elderly to remain independent by offering a range of services such as information and advice, volunteer befriending, intergenerational projects, at home services and health and dementia services. Open Age Enhances the lives of people over the age of 50 by providing 200 weekly activities such as creative arts, IT, dance, languages, music, yoga and volunteering in a variety of locations throughout the community. By engaging people to access these activities, Open Age helps to alleviate social exclusion as well as improve the mental and physical well being of its users. Al-Hasaniya A charity aimed at alleviating isolation and encouraging integration of Arabic speaking women and the wider community in our neighbourhood. |
